KAtie Huszcza (she/her)
Katie Huszcza is passionate about creating connections and building community through food, farming, and nature. She began her career in agriculture at Innisfree Village, a working farm and inclusive community for adults with disabilities, before returning home to Colorado to continue her work in farming and horticulture.
Inspired by the ways plants can support healing and well-being, she pursued registration as a horticultural therapist and completed her internship at Denver Botanic Gardens and Craig Hospital, working alongside patients recovering from traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries.
Over the years, Katie has managed community farms, operated her own cut flower business, and supported beginning farmers through education, mentorship, and land access. Today, she serves as Associate Director of Operations and Farm Services at the Dahlia Campus for Health & Well-Being, where she supports programs and partnerships that strengthen community well-being and connection. With a background in ecology and evolutionary biology, an MBA, and credentials as a Registered Horticultural Therapist, she brings together a love of regenerative systems, community building, and thoughtful leadership.
Katie is honored to serve on the board of the Ag and Food Lab, where she is excited to support efforts that strengthen local food systems, increase access to land and opportunity, and foster thriving agricultural communities.
